Half Marathon – Saturday, April 13th , 2019 at 10 a.m.

 

2nd Krka Half Marathon is a road race 21.098 m long. The race start is at Puljane Eco Campus and the finish line is inside Burnum Amphitheater. The checkpoints will be at the most distant parts of the race course and at the start and finish lines.

 

The race starts on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Puljane Eco Campus in the Krka National Park.

 

All competitors must enter the race in a good health status and run at their own risk. By registering for the race, the competitor gives up all possibility of transferring responsibility to the race organiser and confirms his/her good health status and competence to start and finish the race. In accordance to the rules of the road running race organization, the organiser will provide needed medical care.

 

All competitors entering the Half Marathon race must be 16 or older on the day of the race.

 

By registering for the race, the competitor agrees that all the photographs taken before, during or after the race can be used by the organiser for some internal requirements and promotion of the event. The competitor also agrees on the organiser`s use of their personal data for the internal communication and the purposes of the race promotion.

 

Refreshment will be provided at the start, during the race and in the finish area. Extra refreshment will be provided near the finish area.

 

Time will be measured electronically with an electronic chip and results will be published on the official web page of the organiser right after the race. All competitors will have a net time (chip start) and a gross time (the time from start signal to the time of crossing the finish line). In accordance with the rules of the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations), the official score will be the competitors gross time.

 

The race bib must be placed only on the runner`s chest and it must be visible during the whole race. During the race the competitor must also have a corresponding chip on their race bib because without the chip their result will not be registered. Failure to comply with the rules entails disqualification of the competitor.

 

The time limit of Half Marathon is 3 hours.

 

The unofficial race results will be published right after the race. The right to appeal is three days after the announcement of the unofficial results. The results will become official as soon as the period to appeal on the unofficial results expires.

 

The traffic will be closed and a police motorcycle escort is provided for the first group of competitors and a cyclist escort is provided for the leading women runner. The last competitor will be followed by an ambulance car and during the whole race there will be an ambulance team at the finish line.

 

Unless otherwise stated, the rules of the Croatian Athletic Federation are applied in agreement with the rules of the IAAF.

 

Medals, thropies and awards of the sponsors will be given to the first three fastest runners in the absolute categories (men and women).

 

Medals will be awarded to the winners in age categories for men and women.

 

Categories for the Half Marathon are divided as follows:

 

MS (competitors born 1999 – 1985);

Junior men (2000 and younger);

M35 (1984 – 1975);

M45 (1974 – 1965);

M55 (1964 – 1955);

M65 (1954. and older);

FS (competitors born 1999 – 1985);

Junior women (2000 and younger);

F35 (1984 – 1975);

F45 (1974 – 1965);

F55 (1964 – 1955);

F65 (1954 and older)
